Her Majesty expresses gratitude to the British people as Jubilee celebrations come to an end

The Queen said in her message: “When it comes to how to mark seventy years as your Queen, there is no guidebook to follow. It really is a first. But I have been humbled and deeply touched that so many people have taken to the streets to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee.

“While I may not have attended every event in person, my heart has been with you all; and I remain committed to serving you to the best of my ability, supported by my family.

“I have been inspired by the kindness, joy and kinship that has been so evident in recent days, and I hope this renewed sense of togetherness will be felt for many years to come.

“I thank you most sincerely for your good wishes and for the part you have all played in these happy celebrations.”

Camilla takes on ‘supporting, nurturing role’ at Jubilee celebrations

As Jubilee Celebrations came to end, the top brass of the Royal family took to the Buckingham Palace Balcony to bid farewell, and thank you, to the nation.

One of the figures on top of the balcony was Camilla, who according to Darren Stanton, a body language expert, took on a “supporting, nurturing role.”

He said: “Camilla, meanwhile, was dressed in white – a neutral colour that is elegant but psychologically reveals that she didn’t want to be seen to be standing out too much.

“It solidifies her position within a supporting, nurturing role standing alongside her husband Charles.

“While the balcony looked somewhat depleted because of the absence of Harry and Meghan, the Royals in attendance showed strength and solidarity in the now senior Royal family as they stood together.

“We are beginning to see more and more appearances with Charles and Camilla alongside Kate and William – often the four are seen matching and mirroring each other’s body position, especially Charles and William, proving just how in sync they are as they prepare themselves to take over from the Queen and rule.”

Darren Stanton, a body language expert, took a look the behaviour of the Royal family during the Jubilee celebrations this weekend.

According to the expert, Kate and Her Majesty shared a truly heartfelt moment, as both women stood regally atop Buckingham palace’s balcony.

Speaking on behalf on Betfair Casino, he said: “Kate was dressed in her trademark confidence colour – a striking red. It’s the colour she likes to wear when she wants to appear self-assured and in a position of power.

“While such a colour allows Kate to stand out and ensures she catches the eye, Kate doesn’t crave the spotlight and instead appeared quietly confident.

“She is more than happy to stand on the peripheral, letting the Queen and her future heirs take centre stage instead. There was a great moment, where Kate and the Queen were seen catching each other’s eye.

“Both Royals showed genuine emotion, with the faces truly engaged, as they beamed huge smiles at one another. While a fleeting moment, it portrays the strong bond and connection the Queen and the Kate share, as well as the mutual respect they have for one another. “

Prince Charles filled with ‘admiration’ for Her Majesty, expert claims

A body language expert took a look at the final Jubilee celebration last night, to study what exactly each member of the Firm were feeling in the final moments.

Darren Stanton, speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, said of Charles and The Queen: “Dressed all in green, the Queen was seen waving to the many thousands that had attended the Jubilee celebrations on the final day.

“Always sincere in her emotions, it was clear to see the Queen wanted to make that final appearance to thank the crowds and the public for their support. 

“Flanked by son Prince Charles, there were a few moments where Charles was seen looking adoringly at his mother of whom he calls ‘mummy’. It was an expression that showed sheer admiration and he took a protective stance of the Queen standing close yet behind her while on the balcony.”

Sources said: “It was a lovely do and had everything you’d expect from a child’s birthday party.

“But there was no formal entertainment. The idea was for it to be very relaxed and casual, with people free to pop in and out as they wished.

“It was a nice opportunity for the other royal children to meet Lilibet for the first time.

“And as her first birthday is such a milestone, there was lots of discussion ahead of time about the presents that she would be given on the day.

“One idea that proved very popular was a £75 pink Volkswagen Beetle ride-on toy, which had been spotted in Selfridges.”

The Sun revealed yesterday that Lilibet had finally met her great-grandmother the Queen, after whom she was named.

The Queen has said she remains “committed to serving” the nation to “the best of my ability”, after she set the seal on her Platinum Jubilee celebrations by appearing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The 96-year-old monarch was absent for much of the extended Bank Holiday weekend, after finding the first day enjoyable but tiring, and in a message of thanks acknowledged this but said her “heart” had been with well-wishers.

The Duchess of Cornwall, patron of the Big Lunch, estimated that up to 18 million people could have taken part in Jubilee street parties, and the Queen expressed her hope this “renewed sense of togetherness” would be felt for years to come.

After the outpouring of public affection during her balcony appearance, the Queen said she was “humbled and deeply touched” so many people had taken part in celebrations marking her 70-year reign.

Surrounded by her family, she was cheered by thousands of well-wishers after stepping on to the balcony following the Platinum Pageant, which told the story of her life, and the nation, with an eccentric, fun and imaginative carnival-like display.

Smiling as she acknowledged the spectators, she looked down on The Mall where tens of thousands had waited in hope of seeing her.

Incredible sights as the Polynesian show support for the Queen on her 70th Jubilee, and parade down the mall.

The western region of Oceana was a major site of conflict during World War Two.

Representing Polynesia, the military paraded three kilometres down the Mall and were met by cheers from Brits.

Polynesian soldiers looked incredible as they walked the entire length of the Mall barefoot.

Queen’s jockeys form Guard of Honour at Epsom

Forty of the Queen’s jockeys past and present lined up in a spectacular guard of honour for the royal party ahead of racing on Derby Day at Epsom.

The greats of the saddle, dressed in the famous purple and gold silks, lined up on the steps overlooking the hat-box winner’s enclosure before heading on to the track to greet the Princess Royal and other members of the entourage.

Frankie Dettori said he was “honoured” to be among the riders, who also included current stars Hollie Doyle and Tom Marquand, and Derby-winning riders Kieren Fallon, Johnny Murtagh and Martin Dwyer, along with champion jump jockeys Barry Geraghty and Sir Anthony McCoy.

Dettori said: “I felt like I did as an apprentice 30 years ago! What a nice touch that was.

“It was a lovely spectacle and it is one picture I will definitely get on my wall, that was unique where we were all stood on the steps.”

Prince Charles pays tribute to ‘mummy’ the Queen

Prince Charles delivered an emotional tribute to “Your Majesty, Mummy” last night as he capped off an incredible Platinum Jubilee party.

The Prince of Wales made the heartfelt address celebrating his mother’s historic 70 years of service watched by a crowd of around 100,000 outside Buckingham Palace.

He hailed the Queen for being “with us in our difficult times” and uniting people to mark moments of “pride, joy and happiness”. He also celebrated her “lifetime of selfless service”, speaking for the nation when he said: “You have met us and talked with us. You laugh and cry with us and, most importantly, you have been there for us.”

And he poignantly suggested that his dad “Papa” Prince Philip would have loved the show.

The Queen, 96, did not appear at last night’s event as she struggled with her mobility issues ? but followed on TV from Windsor.
