Prize Information

Ten winners will be selected, based on popular vote by registered voters. Winners will all receive a Mobile Internet Device (MID) as well as USD $1,000 equivalent cash prize in the winner's local currency (total value USD $1,500.00).

Grand Prize winners will receive 2 round-trip tickets to anywhere in the world to an open source event, including accommodations and transportation. Grand prizes are valued at USD $6,000 equivalent in the winner's local currency.

Terms and Condition

The contest is open to individuals and companies eligible to work and live in India. Individuals must be 18 or older to enter. Employees of Intel Corporation, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate families may not enter. Companies with an existing technology enabling account with Intel Corporation are not eligible to enter. Past winners in any category will not be eligible for re-entry with the same game that previously won. Void where prohibited.

You must have legal right to commercially distribute your entry to be eligible. You must have submitted a working, demonstrable MID application built using the Moblin SDK. Your entry can use third-party libraries, as long as the legal distribution requirements are met. Intel Corporation maintains the highest standards of quality and positive relationships with our customers. At our sole discretion, we will disqualify any entry which we feel will not represent Intel well in the global marketplace.

Contest begins April 9th, 2008, Submissions and voting start May 12th, 2008.

Entries must be received by June 13th, 2008 at 3:00PM (India Time).

Community judging to determine finalists will begin May 12th, 2008 at 3:00pm IST and run until June 13th, 2008 at 3:00pm IST.

Finalists will be notified by e-mail by June 17, 2008 at 3:00pm IST.

Finalists' executables of finalists must be received by May 22nd, 2009 at 3:00pm IST.

Winners will be announced at CSDN, Moblin.org, and/or at a Regional Event by June 19th, 2009 and published on Moblin.org the same day.

Legal Information

Intel Corporation (the "Sponsor") is not responsible for executable programs (an "entry"), movies, entry forms, or CDs not received due to lost, failed, delayed or interrupted connections or miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions, or due to lost, late, mutilated, illegible, incomplete, postage due, or misdirected mail. Any material received by the Sponsor will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry form information, whether entered incorrectly by persons at the registration web site, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in the contest, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this contest.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug, or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt the administration, security, or proper operation of the contest.

Winners will be notified by mail, e-mail, or phone within 7 days. Winners must complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and release within 5 days by return prepaid express mail overnight notification or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Winners agree that all prizes are being provided "as is".

Sponsor makes no representation or warranty regarding any prize. Winners must look solely to the manufacturer for any such warranty or guarantee. Prize is not transferable and no cash alternative or prize substitution is available, except that the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute cash or a similar prize of equal or greater value should the prize be generally unavailable at contest end.

All federal, state, and local taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners who are not citizens of the India are responsible for reporting the prize or income as required by the applicable government. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner's executable program, name and/or likeness for advertising/trade purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited.

By supplying your screenshot, movie, and/or executable entry to the contest, you are giving the Sponsor a non-exclusive, non-binding right to distribute your entry materials in any ways the Sponsor sees fit, without any additional compensation to you. You also grant the Sponsor the right to use material from your entry for promotional purposes. Prize winners may not publicize their victory in the contest except as mutually agreed with the Sponsor.

Void where prohibited. This contest is governed under the laws of India. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
